 We’re hiring: Digital Marketing Officer

Chronic Pain Ireland is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Officer to join our team. This new role will support our digital communications, awareness campaigns, fundraising activities and engagement with people living with chronic pain across Ireland.  

Digital Marketing Officer – part time, fixed term role

Chronic Pain Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Digital Marketing Officer to strengthen our digital presence and support our awareness, education, advocacy, fundraising and member engagement activities.

This is a part-time (20 hours per week), fixed-term role offering an exciting opportunity to use your digital communications skills to contribute to meaningful work supporting people living with chronic pain across Ireland.

Role Details – Digital Marketing Officer

  • Position: Digital Marketing Officer (part time)
  • Reporting To: Executive Director
  • Hours: Part-time (20 hours per week)
  • Contract: Fixed Term Dates: 2026 – 31st December 2029 fixed term contract
  • Salary: €19,861 per annum. Salary is based on a 20-hour working week
  • Location: Hybrid working – Dublin office-based with hybrid working arrangements. Flexible remote working may be agreed subject to organisational requirements and with the approval of the Executive Director.

This position is supported under the the Scheme to Support National Organisations 2026-2029, funded by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and is offered as fixed-term, time-limited until 31 December 2029 and is available only for the duration of that funding. There is no expectation that the contract will be extended beyond this date unless additional funding is secured. 

 

About Chronic Pain Ireland

Chronic Pain Ireland (CPI) is the national charity providing information, education and support to people living with chronic pain, their families, carers and stakeholders. We advocate on behalf of people living with chronic pain and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, policymakers and partner organisations to improve understanding, services and outcomes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Digital Marketing Officer to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our digital presence, increasing awareness of chronic pain and supporting the delivery of our Strategic Plan.

 

About the Role

Working closely with the Executive Director and Membership & Engagement Officer, the successful candidate will lead the development of engaging, accessible and evidence-informed digital communications that support awareness, education, advocacy, fundraising and member engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, committed team where your work will make a real difference to people living with chronic pain across Ireland.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing CPI’s website and digital platforms.
  • Creating engaging digital content, graphics, videos and multimedia assets.
  • Promoting workshops, webinars, education programmes and national awareness campaigns.
  • Supporting fundraising campaigns and donor communications.
  • Monitoring website and social media analytics and producing digital performance reports.
  • Leading the digital design, production and layout of CPI’s Annual Report.
  • Maintaining CPI’s digital brand and ensuring all communications are accessible, inclusive and aligned with organisational standards.

Recruitment Process

Shortlisting will be based on the Essential Criteria contained within the Person Specification.

Candidates shortlisted for interview may be asked to complete a short practical assessment relevant to the role.

Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing 03rd August 2026.

Additional Information

The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Ireland and be ordinarily resident in Ireland by the commencement of employment.
