Mission
Our mission is to create a greater understanding and awareness of those living with chronic pain in Ireland. We aim to support our members and nurture those living with the condition and their families through guidance and information provision and to advocate within the wider community.

Strategic Objectives
1. Financial Sustainability & Strategic Partnerships
Objectives:
- Transition from membership fee model to a “Gold Partner” corporate sponsorship approach
- Launch a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach programme
- Secure multi-year unrestricted funding to ensure stability
Key Initiatives::
- Build a prospect list of top 20 Irish CSR-aligned companies
- Design a Gold Partner benefits package (brand visibility, joint events, impact reporting)
- Develop corporate giving guidelines and ethical funding framework
2. Advocacy & Systems Change
Objectives:
- Elevate chronic pain as a priority in national health strategies
- Identify pathway for national adoption of ICD-11 pain classifications
- Advocate for nationwide roll-out of MDT-led chronic pain clinics
Key Initiatives:
- Engage directly with Department of Health and Sláintecare Office
- Host policymakers roundtable event
- Develop patient-led advocacy campaigns tied to Pain Awareness Campaign
3. Research, Innovation & System Change
Objectives:
- Increase CPI involvement in national and European research collaborations
- Support patient involvement in study design and governance
- Disseminate findings to public and clinical audiences
Key Initiatives:
- Develop new partnerships with academic institutions to promote chronic-pain research
- Create a Patient Research Advisory Panel (PRAP)
- Host an annual research and innovation Forum
4. Member Empowerment, Education & Advocacy
Objectives:
- Transform education into peer-led model
- Develop an online chronic pain self-management hub
- Create tailored resources to increase engagement with underrepresented groups impacted by chronic pain.
Key Initiatives:
- Train 10 peer leaders per year
- Launch new educational web tool
- Co-produce new educational video series with patient voices
5. Governance, Inclusion & Impact Tracking
Objectives:
- Enhance board diversity and skill mix
- Implement transparent performance dashboards and public reporting
- Develop inclusive digital infrastructure
Key Initiatives:
- Conduct annual governance and skills audit
- Publish Impact Report each year covering strategic metrics
- Roll out CRM platform to track stakeholder engagement
