R.E.A.C.H. for Movement

Feb 9, 2026

The New Foundations Scheme supports eligible researchers who intend to pursue research, networking and/or dissemination activities within and across the diversity of disciplines.

A partnership between School of Health and Human Performance, Dublin City University  and Chronic Pain Ireland was awarded funding and this research will see people living with chronic pain take part in a co-design project called R.E.A.C.H. for Movement.

The aim of this project is to co-create practical, accessible resources for the Chronic Pain Ireland website to support people living with chronic pain to feel more confident engaging in physical activity.

Throughout February the project which is led by Dr. Kate Sheridan and Dr Hannah Goss, is inviting people with lived experience of a wide range of chronic pain conditions to take part in focus groups and workshops during March 2026.

Members of Chronic Pain Ireland are encouraged to take part and further details will be published in our monthly ezine – subscribe by entering your details below – keep up to date with this and further PPI research opportunities.

A webinar and launch of the online accessible resources will take place in September 2026 as part of our Pain Awareness Campaign.
